My apologies if I offended you with my ignorance. I do tend to get a bit over exited sometimes...
Here are the facts. Close to 40 years ago I completed my apprentice training, and qualified as a fitter and turner. Since then I haven't touched a lathe or milling maching. I therefore had to start from scratch with everything. I am therefore a complete novice, and the only difference between me and somebody with no training, is that I might pick up a little faster, but both of us must start at the bottom.

I do enjoy this hobby tremendously, and I am gratefull for forums like this where the gurus are prepared to share their knowledge with others.

Not at all offended. All knowledge was once new and we all sometimes forget or neglect the basics.
