I've never been to one of their tent sales but I was at the Muncy store last month.

I have to play it like going to a casino. I put so much money in one pocket
and when it's gone I have to leave. :-\

Heh. I'm a 3 1/2 hour drive from the Missouri store. Thankfully I am broke these days. Although I would like to buy their G1006 mill/drill.

Unfortunately, Springfield is about 5 hours from here.
But it is a nice drive through wine country. I know wifey would like to go to a winery for dinner...

Metalworkers Dream:

Springfield MO,

A little over 3 hours from here, I'm excited.

Lets see, a metal bender-shear 16 gauge, a bigger garage to hold it all, air conditioning for the hot Missouri summer, a man's pee toilet for the shop, washing sink deep for cleaning parts, new big air compressor system, welding table, plasma cutter, get the lawn equipment out of my shop, defend the fact that no cars can use the garage because of my metal hobby, get the wood lathe to my son, since I don't use it anymore. etc etc

With the cheap beer I drink these days that is so...

:)

I was in Springfield MO last Thursday but did not stop at Grizzly. Had the wife out for a weekend trip to a Bed and Breakfast. Figured taking her on a tour of the Grizzly warehouse was not a great idea. ;)

If any of you do make it for the tent sale be sure to stop and eat at Lambert's just South of town. Skip breakfast and just plan on one meal for the day. You won't even believe the amount of food they serve you.

That brings back some memories summer of '01 was stationed at NAS Pensacola, visited the USS Alabama in mobile bay one rainy Saturday, and stopped to eat at Lamberts III on the way back. a 45 minute wait to be seated but worth it.

Lambert's? Home of the throwed rolls?

I can't go down there without the kids wanting to go to Lambert's.

Them's old stomping grounds down there...and many good memories.

Silver Dollar City is a good place to visit. Old time crafts and a steam loco.
Oh wow! Funnel cake!

You've never lived until you've had bacon and eggs cooked on a No 14 shovel on a loco footplate + toast on a bit of twisted wire. The little black crunchy bits add to the flavour. :p

Best Regards
