Haven't been keeping up with the local news; Windhoek runs empty over the Christmas holidays with everybody going to the Coast. That includes the newspaper sellers that I always buy the daily paper from on my way to work in the mornings. So for the last week I haven't seen any news...

Yes, as long as they do not discover any maker markings you will be safe. However, I would be wary of making any inquiries of sheet metal purchases for a bit were I you. ;D
