Hi all,

I thought I would show you my completed engine, I have worked on this for the last 7 years, on and off.. (well, more off than on to be honest.) I guess it took me about a month of actual machining by the time I remade parts etc, it's been a learning experience that's for sure.

The engine was designed by a local engineer here in Auckland called Graeme Quayle, he was also instrumental to the restoration of our old water pump beam engine at the MOTAT museum in Auckland. Very clever man!

Anyway, finally finished so on to the next project now!

Well done! this looks like a very good design for beginners. Bar stock and looking very old school at the same time.
If the plans are available I guess it could be interesting for others too.
Now I would want a boiler for it. Something that matches the engine.
Keep up the good work!
Rudy

Morning all, Thanks for the comments, unfortunately it was a paid for set of plans with the box of stock bar to build with so I am unable to upload them for general consumption. and yes, a boiler would be great! I am keen to build one but my silver soldering has to get a whole lot better yet!!

The colour.. that was my Wife's choice, I am colour blind so it probably would have ended up pink and murky brown if I had my way! :)
