The way it started slowly then sped-up as it settled down, makes me think it needs MORE OIL, as it appeared to be binding a bit at first start-up, then freed-off after a minute or so? Have you any Molyslip? - Anti-scuffing compound, ideal to prevent start-up scuffing. (used in industry on new and re-builds). Molybdenum di-sulphide is a "round-ish" hard molecule that rolls rather than locks, so makes a dry lubricant within the grease or oil that carries it. - So I was told by a professor of Tribology!
Can't see molecules myself... too small for my old eyes! Angstrom units? I struggle sub-millimetre! - Prefer inches!
