My good wife bought me an "engine book" for Christmas this year "The Engines of Doug Kelley" from Village Press Publications. This book has four excellent engine designs in it, including a twin cylinder horizontal engine, the "Titan". I have spent the last 3 or 4 days modeling the "Titan" in 3D Solidworks software. I increased the bore from 0.9" to 1" but kept the stroke the same. I went from two individual cylinder heads to a single cylinder head which covers both cylinders. I am terribly sick of winter and wanted to design something, and this engine gave me the chance. It is water cooled and requires building a small circulating pump, which I haven't modelled yet. I have other projects on the go here, but took a break from them to design this one. I have numerous other single cylinder horizontal engines, but this will be my first twin, if I build it.----Brian
