Yes As Cogsy says the rxcel works out the speed the magnet is turning at and adjusts the timing so turning slowly by hand will give a different spark position to when you are trying to start teh engine. Thats why I like the ignitions from S/S as their ones for "IC Engines" don't have auto advance.

My explanation here was only to clarify how magnet strenght and diameter would affect your primary set up of timing. You can fine tune after if needed be. If that RXCEL change your timing up to 30 degree on the start up and your engine does not kick back................. put it in a garbadge can:wall:

The cam shaft is bent and I cant go any further till I repair it and Loctite it this time. I may change the ignition to one that doesn't auto advance. I will let you know how I go when I finish the repairs
