Hi folks, here are a few pictures.
Inspired by G.H.Thomas book and Hemingway kits.
The parts for the Pillar Tool were manufactured without the available cast parts.

Very good looking parts. Did I see correct that the table on the pilar tool can be tilted? Do you ever use this feature? I have a really cheap (sad really) drill press, where this "feature" is more a bug, because the table flexes or moves.

Yes, I have made an additional holder for the table. This can be swivelled. This allows me to make defined angled holes in small parts. As the machine only has a maximum capacity of 4 mm, the pressure is not very high. The flange attachment of the turning base is also large enough.

Hi Bruno. Welcome ! I visited your website a couple of years ago. I have been building some pillar tool mods to your design.
Tschuss !

Hello guys and girls.
I had some problems logging back into this forum, these problems seem to have been resolved as far as I can tell so far.
So I can continue.
I installed a second homepage a few years ago. It is only the Bosch-Combi system from the late 50s until about the end of the 70s of the last century.
The address is: https://bosch-combi.de/
I have two of these lathes. Unfortunately, the cross slide was missing from the last machine I bought, which I reproduced from the original slide.
You can find more information on the page.

I will post some pictures here.

I ordered two small sprocket pullers from Amazon. The smaller of the two is perfectly fine. It is made entirely of steel and parts of it are hardened. The slightly larger of the two was made of an aluminium alloy and broke immediately when I tried to pull a sprocket off an engine. I then rebuilt this puller from steel.
