Hi folks, here are a few pictures.
Inspired by G.H.Thomas book and Hemingway kits.
The parts for the Pillar Tool were manufactured without the available cast parts.

Very good looking parts. Did I see correct that the table on the pilar tool can be tilted? Do you ever use this feature? I have a really cheap (sad really) drill press, where this "feature" is more a bug, because the table flexes or moves.
 
Yes, I have made an additional holder for the table. This can be swivelled. This allows me to make defined angled holes in small parts. As the machine only has a maximum capacity of 4 mm, the pressure is not very high. The flange attachment of the turning base is also large enough.
