The small blanked off one may well be to allow high pressure steam to the LP cylinder, sometimes used just for starting via a "simpling valve"

Can you see the hole from the inside of the LP chest?

Actually do you and charles got any smart ideeas for that piston valve?
While im doing the buckle ?
No stress though
Just start asking because have to do it anyway
Chris

Hard to follow the gibberish, Chris. I wish you would put as much effort into posting your questions as Jason and I put into answering them.

The big hole with the copper pipe is the exhaust.

Smart ideas - err, no. Have not done much on the piston valve yet. I think it is going to need a threaded valve rod.

Im sorry charles and jason
I dont mean it like that
My english is not the best
Thank you gor the clarification charles
The copper pipe is the exhaust
And the 1/2 is the intake
I always assumed otherwise
So that copperpipe would go to the condenser isnt it
Chris

Chris, out of interest, what is your first language?

If the arrangement is as I am thinking, then the copper pipe should connect to the central port in the low pressure slide valve face. Could you check that with a wire or smoke test? If we are right, then yes, it would go to the condenser.

The red diagram looks right.
