Great progress. One thing that may confuse on assembly: the valve is not pressed mechanically against the port face but only by steam pressure in the valve chest.

Also working on copper boiler all brazed with phosphor
Higher melting point then silver
Should i worry about the paint or
Just clean it let it as it is?

Paint? Up to you. I would clean and leave the patina of age for now. If you paint it, then you will want to polish all the bright parts to match.

Hi charles
Before i drill the hohle i better double check
From the top front of the trapezional
Steamchest opening to the actual valveface is a 2.5 mm recess step back
If i drill 6.35 center from the front then the steam have to push the valve 2.5 mm
Surely not
I ad the 2.5 mm to the 6.35
Isnt it?

Bud the vslveface sitts 2.5 mm inwards
Its not paralell with the top

I mark a line so u can see
I take a 6 mm rod and turn a center point
And stick it in from the bottom
And mark the center like that
If u know what i mean
I could try to measure bud i think the first is better

Check with Charles first but I would say you are OK to add whatever the distance the line is back from the edge measured in the middle to the 6.35mm. Also adjust the buckle by the same amount.

How does the distance from th eedge to the one you scribed from the bottom with the pointed rod compare to 6.35 plus top overlap?

Its actually not 2.5 its 3.37
I need to check the pic again

Bud it doesnt seems to be paralell

Should i mark it from bottom with a pointed rod and see if we are same center?
