I purchased this model engine along with two other full size hit and miss engines. It has 9" dia. flywheels, is throttle controlled, unusual two cylinder for this type of engine, carburetor/mixer is representative of a IH-Mogul or M with propane option, fuel pump, open crankcase, and chain driven rotary magneto in base. Apart from the flywheels the engine is made of standard stock, aluminum base , sleeved cylinders 1.75" bore 2.00" stroke. It runs good on naphtha .
There is no nameplate only a small brass tag with a four digit number. The previous owner did not build it and has passed, his son does not have any information on this engine. I have searched the internet to no avail, for a manufacturer, plans, or a prototype. This model is very well built; is this a one off. Can someone identify or recognize it from a magazine article.
Thank-you Keith
