Howdy All from Mid Michigan

I'm just a hack beginner when it comes to real machining.
But my current interest is making a steam engine maybe this winter.
The type of stuff I do is just basically fixing parts on my old farm equipment where the word "small" doesn't exist nor does tight tolerances in most cases.
I've been a lurker here for awhile but decided to join so I could see what I couldn't see before and all I can say is NICE! Thm:

Do you know what steam engine you would like to work on, or do you still need to pick one.

I was looking at the no casting 2 cylinder rotary valve that I have seen being made by a member here.
I'm not totally set on what I want to build first.
I am in the process of adding a DRO to my SB 9a and add some more tooling.
I also have a Bridgeport clone that I need to add some tooling/fixtures to for working smaller items.
