I have lurked here long enough I thought a proper introduction is in order, I'm Aaron, most will know know me as the chairman of the Indiana Model Engine Show.
My background trained as a tool maker (started my apprenticeship in 1986), today I am the shop supervisor at a machine shop that builds a proprietary line of race car suspension parts.
My spare time is spent being a high power rifle competitor (in the warm months) (& yes I build my own rifles) and learning Model making.
My shop is rather simple a SBL 10K & PM 728VT , as far as engines go, I have built a wobler, I am in the process of doing a PMR #3 , but I have bunches of 500 & 600 cid blown alcohol hemis (did some drag racing years ago)

Welcome Aaron, nice shop.
I marvel at the shops people have where you can actually see the floor.

I have had to learn about keeping the shop clean.
It is much easier to clean up a semi-clean shop, than to let a shop get really dirty, and then have to sort it all out.

Back in the days when we manually drew everything, and were very serious about meeting deadlines, we would work all night, finish up early in the morning, and then go to sleep under the drawing table.
It was quite common, even with the managers.

Welcome Aaron. Good to hear from you. Hope to see you again this fall at Auburn.

I've been the only machinest at a few shops and kept things rolling . I'm trying to get my head design for a new type of engine with no valves built . Just visiting probably Here.
