This is my version of a Grass Hopper engine I built last year. I used one nitrile rubber O-Ring on the piston.
I started machining in my early 70's before retiring on my 74th birthday. I now can indulge myself.

Nicely done David. There’s something almost hypnotic about Grasshopper and Beam engines. Any chance of a short video?

where can I get the plans please ?

I too would like to find the plans - any help would be appreciated. I have tried internet searches without much luck. There are all kinds of so-called Grasshopper designs, I am looking for the one primarily used in marine engines. Specifically those in paddle wheel tugboats. This one by davidl does appear appropriate.
