G0516 Drawbar

The threads on my Grizzly G0516 drawbar had enough last night. After removing the drawbar from the spindle I decided to thumb through the manual for the drawbar part number. Not only was the part number not there but the exploded view was missing the drawbar as well....

FYI, the drawbar part number for a Grizzly G0516 is #P8689212.

The upside to having the mill out of service for a while is that I can now remove the milling attachment from my lathe and install it onto the mini-milling base I purchased from LMS.

I would like to know if anyone else owning a G0516 has had this problem? Just curious.

Due to my adhoc tooling I currently have 3 drawbars for my mill. 10 mm, 12 mm and 1/2." They are all lengths of threaded rod with 4 nuts.

2 nuts locked to set the depth of the bar and 2 nuts locked at the top for doing and undoing the bar. Cheap and easy and as long as the rod fits the hole in the spindle very versatile.
