Just to be clear, I live in Canada so that's why I know 'international' orders is pretty much a non-starter with McMaster without an account.
I was trying to say if someone kind enough & willing (Steve) would facilitate this on your behalf, count yourself as a lucky man.

Years ago, just post 9-11 I ordered some small screws from MC. The lady was very helpful and pleasant and assured that she would be happy to accept a Canadian VISA and ship to me in Canada. Forty minutes later I received a call from MC and a different lady, or woman at least, who very rudely and brusquely informed me that because of the security risk I would not be a new customer of theirs. A quick call to a friend and the order was placed through the company he works for which had an existing account with MC and could buy them out if they had a mind to, a bit of a paper work hassle but I got my parts and American sovereignty was unchallenged.
Recently I gave them a try again and had no troubles getting what I needed.

That seal is all of 1/8 inch thick, someone buy it, stick it in an envelope and send it as a gift.

Just 2 seals to his door is almost 30 bucks. I dont mind helping out but being retired I cant afford to send stuff all over the world for free. I didnt charge for the shipping to me from McMaster or the trip to the post office to send them off to him. Now if I would have hit the 2 billion dollar lottery last week everyone on this forum would have got 2 free seals from me! Lol!

I just checked with Canada post, regular envelope, maximum thickness less than 5mm and 30 grams, $2.71 CAD postage, no tracking or insurance and over those dimensions parcels start at ~$20, but USPS might have different rules. $AUS/CAD is usually about the same. I'm semi-retired but still buy from M-C fairly regularly so if something like that came in with a regular order, freight/customs wouldn't be significant. I'm not sure I'd want to set up a regular service like that but for a one off.....

I can send a letter for $1.40 to Australia but as soon as it deviates from paper it becomes a parcel and it's $19.20 for the cheapest rate. You can roll the dice but if they catch it they send it back to you and keep your $1.40. Thats why I asked if he wanted anything else to make it worth sending. Lets do this once and get it done and over to him.
