I need a slotting attachment for my elliott 181 /omnimill. I would like the elliott one but thats a long shot, so I'm looking to build a replica. Has anyone got pictures and dimensions for the slotting attachment for this or the one from the A&S 1ES/2ES with particular detail on how the stroke is adjusted?
thanks
Derek

Derek,

If it's anything like the many slotting heads that were supplied for horizontal mills it may not have had any stroke adjustment.
My Victoria had a fixed stroke of 3 - 1/4" and to get a shorter stroke you drew the cutter out of the work a bit more.

.

Are you still looking for details of the omnimill slotting head ? As I own one and realise they seem to be as rare as hens teeth. I believe you live in the Reading area , and could make arrangments to meet you , which would allow you to take photo,s and measurments . Althought I live in Kent ,I am often in your part of the world . Hope this is of use.
