G'day folks, after much study and reading every post I really wanted to start with a larger lathe ,but, with due consideration of initial costs and the need to be able to move the machine around in my shed fairly easily(I have a reduced movement capability down my left arm and leg) I opted for a sieg c1 which will do to start with. I was surprised at the difference in the cost of this machine in the various retail outlets,I bought this on "flea bay"for $550.00 delivered from interstate, all other retail outlets were asking from $615.00 to $795.00 plus postage etc.I also bought the vertical accessories pack and extra chucks and other essentials(not tellin'the missus ) ;D so now I'm stripping it to clean the "red chicken fat" re oil ,tighten and align, THEN I will probably start with the dumb questions :-[
Cheers Col
