Hello all,
Old guy here from Pennsylvania, U.S. with a new interest in model engines...not gonna lie, I'm completely green (unless it's a small block chevy). I appreciate the chance to learn from the experience that I've seen thus far in the threads. Alot of my questions have been answered just by tooling around the forum.

I was recently gifted one of the blue Chinese H&M engines, mixed emotions at this point, still working out the kinks. But damn, I'm hooked. And like I said earlier, I've gleaned much on the subject from your posts. Thanks again to be a part of the community.

Welcome Gunny, glad to have you in the group.
This is an adictive hobby for sure.
I have known many who have been at it much of their lives.
My dad started building model engines when he retired, and ended up building 38 engines.
I was very busy with life until about 14 years ago, when I got an opportunity to start attempting to design/machine and build model engines.
It took me a few years, but I finally got the hang of it.
I have a very keen interest in the foundry side of the hobby as well.
Grab an engine project and lets get started.
