You pickup from local supply. I pickup from a company that sold sandblasting supplies.
Remember it is also used in kitty litter too. Shipping is a killer so local suppliers is best price.
If look at some of foundry supplies adds fined what is and look local.

Wrong not. Let me repeat I hare that.

Bentone. Not what is posted.

Bentone. Big difference like oil and water.

Lol bingo there's two types but yes oh boy long ago A lip stick company I worked for all of cosmetics as a mechanic. That clay. Is amazing

I had to tell my boss at work. We could not find a odd casted part at lunch. I got grabbed and he said.

Go make this. In one day done

Lol there's other stuff with that to like bat crap. Go look it up I know fixing mixers. Glad it had no smell

But bentone. Great stuff. Bentone Not kitty oil spill.

I bought a bag of what I think was Bentone at Lancaster Foundry Supply, Lancaster Pa.
Not 100% but think that is what is used in Petro Bond Sand?
Very expensive in comparrison to Bentonite.

If look up what is in Petro Bond it is Clay.
I have used both water and oil boded sand.
The lowest cost to use is Natural Bond with water.
Foundry Supply companies do not make a lot money off Natural Bond sands.
If have new crew to Foundry work oil Bond is the best choice but more work and equipment.

Natural Bond is simply to use add water. Someone new will get water off. So never mix at one time as with some dry sand you fix wet sand.

Lol they have it all. Thanks Dave. The bentone I had small box of was for casting.

I think all will like this parts for repairs in some old cosmetic companys.
Lol. Yes same type of clay. I miss it due to its finish. Very satin.
And no I call smoke lines. You see in a fresh casting
The stuff wipes off or lite buff

I try out side the box stuff for sand. Safety is first. So tons of reading and a Safety try. Long ladle

This was first try and I casted more. I just say wow. Now cost per pound after tax. 6.50 per lbs. This mold cost to fill 35.00. Small flask.

One part. Burn out. Sand is not bad just a lite shake out. Sift. Done. Looks neat. Cost. Ouch.
