Arduino LCD Keypad

Well I am finally going to get my Arduino stepper motor controller put in a proper enclosure. So while searching the internet for the SainSmart LCD keypad schematic and pin outs, so I can attach new external switches, I stumbled across this website.

This looks to be a good solution to the key press problems with the keypad. An opinion from you expert Arduino programmers please. Thank you for any input.
