Found this comment on one of my youtube videos this morning.

IndigoCharlie Block User If I built a steam furnace from a tin can, could I run this engine. I love what you are doing and it really looks good. Wow!

I replied that I couldn't imagine a tin can boiler that would be safe. Unfortunately, some people get really bad ideas from the internet!

There are/were a number of vids on Youtube showing people using parabolic mirrors to heat water in bottles for powering steam engines. Idiocy runs amok.

The tragic and very real danger of this topic is the fact that thousands of innocent individuals can and are getting injured due to these types of videos being posted on the internet. Quite a few of the people that do so are in themselves true idiots for doing so and also quite a few of the ones that do get themselves injured are also morons for believing that what they viewed was safe and or "cool". The television industry is no less at fault by their incessant dumbing down of the human intelligence factor in a bid to gain popularity ratings. *puhlease* It is a free country and I do believe in freedom of speech as much a any American, but, I also have a sense of moral obligation that is just as strong that tells me not to publish something unsafe that others may and will attempt to imitate. Until the world of stupidity pulls its head out of its hind end, we will continue to be bombarded with such shenanigans. Take responsibility the next time you witness someone doing an unsafe, stupid thing and simply knock the s**t out of them, when they wake up, explain to them what happened and kindly ask them to not do whatever triggered the event in your presence ever again. As you can probably tell, I have a very low tolerance for Bevis and Butthead types of mentallity.
