Any helpful ideas to make my 900hp more fuel friendly?

Are you saying that you have a 900 horsepower Ford 390 engine? Are you upset about the fuel efficiency? Or is the engine octane sensitive? What exactly is un-fuel-friendly?

Most people that I know who own high horsepower automotive engines, simply accept the fact they must run expensive high-octane racing fuel, and they burn lots of it. . . .

Please consider that most folks on these boards are here for constructing model engines. The goal is not high horsepower, but rather the fun of the hobby - in constructing a small working engine from raw castings or bar-stock. Your question about 900 horsepower FE engines may be better suited for a website geared more towards building larger displacement automobile racing engines.

Its a science project. Instead of using C.A.D. or any other devices, ive chosen to actually build it from my head. It just happens to sit n my 74 ford. Lol

Sir,
Although there are a lot of very knowledgeable people on this forum your question is something that an automotive engineer would be better able to handle.
To produce 900 h.p. from a gas engine requires a lot of fuel, bottom line, less fuel less horsepower, or less fuel and melted pistons.
