years ago i thought about building a model of the briggs my dad had on his tiller but he wouldn't let me take it apart to measure all the parts.
now years later i see this build and it got me thinking about building one my self..................so i phoned dad about the tiller engine and he said...
now thats one very nice little engine but the part that blew me away is how slow you got it to run :bow: :bow:
you just proved to everyone that you can use what you have on hand and create a master piece.

instead of buying a bottoming tap you could make your own.
if you have a 5-40 tap that is dull or has the end broken off you can just grind the end flat and that should make a bottoming tap.
now you will have to take it easy using the tap but with some cutting oil and a little...

i like the bigger cylinder and the long rod is a nice touch.

i have always had trouble drilling wrist pin hole's, but after seeing the way you did it ........... i think my problems are over ;D
