    yes i made a bunch cause i was tired of changing out the die's EVERY time i made a bolt or threaded stud ;D and yes brian you are 100% right (as always) you can never have too many tools :big: any more got to have tools that i should make?? chuck

    well i have spent the last week or so building some much needed tooling for my shop. the first is a bunch of die holders for the lathe and a close up pic tonight i just about finished my tapping stand, just have to polish it up abit and it will be done now i posted this last picture to show...

    got me some drills..any ideas

    at my first job after leaving high school i had to drill 6" holes though 12" plate we had a big radial drill press. the drill bit was a spade type bit that i made. chuck

    i had one of those types of mill's and i heard allot of trash talk about them and they do have their problems but after seeing what you have made on your machine it just proves it is not the machine it is the operator that makes the diffrence. good luck in finding a replacement. chuck

    all the full size hit and miss engines use cast iron for there cams and cam gears. they work very well. chuck

    well i bought an sx3 mill about a year or so ago and every one i spoke to about this mill said they were a great little mill. they also told me to take it apart and clean it, well i never did take it apart until today. all the guys i asked told me that when you take it apart you will find loose...
