That's a really good book on what it takes to design and build a model two stroke. There's not much on glow ignition engines or the latest thinking on transfer or exhaust port and passage design, though. These days there are good, low cost engine simulation programs. They are later versions of the software mentioned in the book and incorporate some of the latest design thinking.

Thanks for the link a quick look and I can a lot of effort has been put into it - there are probably many like me that are happy if they can make an engine that will run.
