Hallo Model Engine friends from all over the world.

I started some time a go the making from my Holly Buddy 2,5 cc model diesel engine.
This engine which is designed by Ed Holly from Australia is a beautifull compact engine ideal to start your first experience in model engine making with.
My thread is allways acompagnied by many photos i made during me metal/aloy working time from several engine parts.
I hope that you enjoy my photo session also this time.
My machinery park however real basic has got some extra new items in it like a boring machine from a reasonable quality a four claw chuck beneath many new tools like adjustable handreamers ,screw thread cutters and so on
I wish you a pleasant time watching my photos up till the next time again.

many greetings from modelmotor-The Netherlands-Europe

Hallo Model Engine Friends,
This will be one of my last photo series at this moment.
In my country it's now nearly Spring time than the Summer will arrive so not the most ideal time to spent on a hot ceiling busy with model engines.
The photos are made up till the moment i stop with the making from this engine.I will of course continuate and finish making my Holly Buddy 2,5 cc engine when it's Autumn again then it's nice cold outside and warm inside ideal for model engine work.
I hope you all liked my work till so far.

Many greetings up till September/Oktober again from Gerard-modelmotor-The Netherlands-Europe.

Modelmotor,

Seems spring has arrived about a week or two too early - just a few components to go and it will be ready for a test run !

Congratulations so far on lovely workmanship. Enjoy the warmer weather whilst we start to get a bit chillier down here in Australia. Sydney is not too bad though daytime temps mid-winter rarely below 15 degrees - currently autumn and I am still having a surf at 0700 some mornings - helps that the sea temp is a balmy 22 degrees which the ocean will stay warm till mid May.

And thanks for choosing the Holly Buddy ...

Ed

Hallo Ed,
Thank you for your sympathic and positive contribution to my new Thread about making the Holly Buddy 2,5 cc model diesel engine.
A short reply on your remark about not continuing the last engine parts has been send to your e.mail adress already.
It's always good to get a message from the designer of the engine which is highly apreciated by me.

many greetings from Gerard-modelmotor-The Netherlands-Europe.

Hallo Model Engine Friends,
However i told you that i was intended to stop making my Holly Buddy 2,5 cc engine for a couple of months i decided to go on for a while.
The weather overhere however sunny by day is real cold all day long and there's much wind blowing over the fields and in the cold evening(s) the conditions are ideal to continuate the making from my Holly Buddy 2,5 cc model diesel engine.
I have already done a few things again at my engine. The photos will show you that i sunck the backplate screws of the engine which looks
very good to me and it gives the engine a much better finish.
I hope that you like the photos i made from this exercise.

Many greetings from Gerard-modelmotor-The Netherlands-Europe.

Hallo Ed,
The cold nights stay overhere and to be honest to you i could n't withstand the feelings watching to see my machinery so lonely and it was much too quiet in my hobbyroom.
I will certainly go on with the job once started it is always my target to finish in good order so hopefully the heat will stay away for a while.

many greetings from the cold and windy The Netherlands-Europe - Gerard-modelmotor.

Hallo Model Engine Friends
I have done some modifications with the mounting holes from the Frontplate as well.
I hope you like it.

Many greetings from Gerard-modelmotor-The Netherlands-Europe.

Hallo Model Engine Friends
Now you can see how i did the job with the milling machine saw blades. It worked rather good however i have none experience with these small sawblades they did
a very good job by making the exhaust opening/slts in the liner.

Many greetings from Gerard-modelmotor-The Netherlands-Europe.
