Hi All,

I've made about a half dozen steam engines and would like to try making a Stirling engine for my next project.
Any suggestions as to what would be a good option?

Regards,
Alan C.

Try Jan Ridders' website for free plans
http://ridders.nu/

Also if you Google Moriya you will find plans online for Dr Senft's Stirling fan engine, which can be made as just an engine with a flywheel instead of fan blades etc. It is very simple and materials readily available. Jan's engines mostly use graphite pistons and precision glass cylinders.

Thanks Hopper. I couldn't see anything I fancied there so I looked on Youtube for one I liked the look of and came across Manfred's engine.
I've downloaded the plans from his website ( http://www.manfreds-hobbypage.de/ )
The plans and text are in German but the Google translation service is now good enough to get a good idea of the notes.

Regards,
Alan C.
