I have downloaded J. Jonkman's Stirling 60 plans - excellent clarity and not difficult to machine. But I cannot find the connecting rods, displacer to crank, nor tumbler plate to crank. Do I need to measure the lengths empirically or scale them from the drawing ?

Hi,

Some time ago I already tried to contact Mr Jonkman, to no avail.

Indeed the set drawings is not complete. Lucky there are no important drawings missing in the pdf set

Chris

Do you have the updated drawings.I built that engine and cannot remember any missing dimensions but I'm certain he posted updated drawings on this site
The only problem I can remember was on the candle holder mounting screw but it was easily rectified

Many thanks to you both. I downloaded the drawings around the 20th February this year, so I can only presume that they are the latest ones. I have almost completed the "Central Pillar" so have lots of time ahead of me to find the answers. Thanks again.

Out of interest, the Stirling Cycle can be used to make liquid air, does anyone have a source of drawings or plans, please ? Many thanks.

The updated drawings that he dated 17/01/2012 had the connecting rod and other parts added, is this the version you have?

cheers, Ian

Ian, bonjour from France. The drawings I have are dated 12-06-2010. When I downloaded them I do not remember seeing a choice of versions. Do you by any chance have a link to the 2012 drawings ? - and Thank you.

Your question prompted me to search for these plans and now I have yet another engine on my growing 'to-do' list

I found the set you have, dated 12-06-2010, but the only place I could find the latest 2012 plans was (insert drum roll here) right here at HMEM in the downloads section :p.

Just go to downloads and enter 'stirling 60' and it'll pop right up. I've just downloaded them and they look great, but I really need to stop looking at new engines until I get my current ones completed...

Hey ! You de Man !
Nice one, there they are on the extra page.
I turned the Main Cylinder this afternoon and sorted out the milling cutters for the Power Cylinder fitting, maybe tomorrow ? ?
Thanks again.
