This is one of the prettiest wobbler engines I think I've ever seen. It was sold on Ebay a number of years ago. It was called an Optical engine. As I recall, the flywheel was about 13" or so in diameter. I seem to remember that it fetched about $1600.

WoW! $1600! You don't say.

We could build one like that!

I'm glad I'm not in this for money! I would have probably tripped and fallen down the steps in my rush down to the shop! :big:

That is a very attractive engine. I remember an engine that was listed on the big E site (I have a less than complimentary name for them) many years ago when they were just starting up. It was I believe named "The Heart" or something to that effect and I remember that the frame was open and shaped like a heart. It was a wonderful art deco appearance as well as having some well thought out engineering. I want to say that it fetched upwards of $2K, WAY to rich for my blood but I almost wish I had purchased it as it was one of the most unique engines I had ever seen. There are some spectacular examples out there and once in a great while they become available at sales and auction houses. Thanks for the photos Chuck.

It probably cost that much to make when all those pipe fittings were not made in China.
