I'm trying to make some 1/4-32 plugs to George Britnells design and I can't figure out the electrode length versus the insulator length. It appears that they are the same length. I know full size plugs have the electrode a little than the insulator.

Is it ok to have the electrode the same length as the Insulator? I'm using Corian for the insulator.

Is .015 ok for plug gap?

Thanks in advance.

Ron

Hi Ron,
I sent you a reply to your question from my mail box. To restate, the electrode can be flush or stick out a little, it won't hurt. I try for .02-.025 for the gap.
