I just bought a South Bend lathe, W9B I think that is the model number I can go check if needed. Anyway I have been taking it apart and cleaning the lathe up which is thankfully in almost new condition. Brilliant guy that I am, I was taking the knob of the clutch shaft which required a bit of a twist to remove or in my case break. To make a long story short the machine screw I broke is left hand thread which explains why turning the screw counter clockwise broke it instead of removed it. Now that in itself I thought won't be too big of a problem to replace, boy am I wrong! Because I live in Canada, Grizzly who sells South Bend equipment seems to have trouble filling an order for me for my lathe ID card. I actually think it is just too much work for them. So my question is where can I get this screw or has anyone found an easier way to solve my broken left hand screw problem?
