I need some advice regarding a small lathe Myford size and very accurate. I would like to be able to use collets on it.

Any suggestions or if you have something suitable for sale I would be most interested to hear from you.

I live in Lincs. UK

Thanks Colin..

The best place to start looking for information is http://www.lathes.co.uk/page21.html

Most of the machinery that you will be initially interested in will probably turn up on the 2nd hand market, but that is not necessarily a bad thing.

Some good work has been turned out on the modern Far Eastern lathes (although I have no experience of them), so don't necessarily reject them.

Collets, particularly the ER series can be fitted to almost any lathe.

Once you have found a few suitable candidates, then start asking for opinions.

Have a look at http://www.homeworkshop.org.uk/ when you are ready to buy (if going for 2nd hand).
