Here's the last of the videos of my miniature engines. This one is of a beam engine. It too was built for one of the Sherline competitions. It was scaled from the Reeves "Mary" beam engine. It is made from brass and stainless steel. The base is made from aluminum. The tire valve in the pictures gives a sense of the size of each of the engines. These engines certainly aren't the smallest ones made but I have made my limit on what I can bolt together with the 1x.25mm nuts and bolts. I attended a seminar at NAMES last year on making very tiny taps and dies and I don't think I need that much work.

I forgot to mention that all the engines in the videos were running on 3 lbs. of air pressure. I have run the small vertical on 20 lbs. of air and it turns into a blur. I'm not sure how long it would stay together at that rpm so I don't do it very often.

Beautiful job Geo. It is hard to imagine how small it really is with all the fine detail you put in it.

Very elegant engine in both design and execution...thanks for sharing the vids!!
