I am at the point where I will be starting on the flanges on my Stuart Twin Launch and am a little confused. I think I have it right but I wanted to run it by you guys.
This is what the print calls out:
Qty.
1.... Exhaust Tee Flange
1.... Exhaust Elbow Flange
1.... Steam Tee Flange ...... 3/16 thru
1.... Steam Flange ...... tap 3/16-40
2.... Inlet Flanges ............. 3/16 thru
The exhaust is pretty simple. A pipe goes through the Tee to the Elbow.
It looks like the input for steam has two options.
There is a drawing for a 3/16" inlet pipe with no threads It's got a 90° bend on one end. It would seem to be used with the Steam Tee Flange and one of the Inlet Flanges since there are no threads and they would be soldered in together.
What would the tapped Steam Flange and the extra untapped Inlet flange be for?
It would think that the print should have 2 tapped Inlet Flanges. It is a mistake?
Can some one clear this up for me? Thanks!
Gary
