Pilley Wheel

When my friend Wes and his friend Lee came to visit last Saturday Wes brought gifts, A wheel and a cube of some kind. It took me a while, but I finally figured that the wheel is a "Pilley Wheel". I have not yet figured what the cube inside a cube inside a cube----- is, but it sure is neat. All I know is that Wes said it took two programs on the CNC machine make it. Maybe some of you viewers know.
Perhaps it is a Pilley cube.

We had a great time. Birk gave me a new casting project to work on. When I get a couple things done around here I'll set up and start it. There will be plenty of pictures.

Those Turner's Cubes are neat!

This fella, one of my mentors, has the idea to mount one in a gimbal arrangement via opposite corners so it'll spin:

I can just see that cube snuck in the back of some complicated steam powered thingey of Birk's, twirling around and winking at us all as it does so.
