Daybreak tomorrow opens the Pennsylvania whitetail deer hunting season.
For those of you who would actually go out with the intention of killing one of those
beautiful animals......

Oh... Now how did that stuff happen to be on my living room floor? ??? ;)

To my fellow hunters, be safe, BE SEEN, and bring home a big one!

No Bambi's the first week.

Bucks only and a 3 point per side antler restriction.
The young ones are safe until NEXT WEEKEND! 8)

That is OK Rick. I like eating venison and Moose meat. Just have a soft spot when I see Bambie. Good luck with the hunt and be safe.

Cheers :)

No whitetails harmed on my part today.

At 7:30AM I did manage to make a 6 point buck run a little faster.
As usual, OPERATOR ERROR....
Deer 30 yards away - Scope still set on 9X from sighting it in.

But it was a beautiful day in these Appalachian hard wood forests, 5 miles from home.
My oldest boy and I had a great time walking the trails and chasing the deer
to other hunters, and catching up a good but between us.

We also talked with many of those hunters about our local coyote problem.
All of them agree we need to do all we can to eradicate them from our hunting grounds.
There is no closed season and no limit on coyotes here. They are a menace to wildlife
and domestic animals. I worry about my wife walking the dogs in woods.
One group said they took 32 of them out in one weekend last month. We've seen tracks
following paths where guys were dragging deer out. They are getting far too bold and
aggressive, and far too close to my home!

I know now we have at least 20 more guys convinced to shoot them on site.
