Not One but Two Myfords

I just happened to run across Brian's videos, and he has some cool stuff.
Brian I guess is a relatively new member here?

So when one Myford is not enough, well then, just have two of them .....LOL

The four cylinder flat engine in the background is most intriguing.

Thanks for the kind remarks Green Twin. I have been lurking here for a while, having just built my second Tiny IC. I've been machining now for over 49 yrs having 3 steam locos, many IC engines and various pumps etc under my belt. I make things to learn how they work and how to machine parts. Getting on a bit now and I tend to make smaller models, easier to handle. Back to the original question two Myfords, my main lathe was the Trilever which had been adapted to suit my needs by fitting stops, lever tailstock etc. My father in law before he passed away donated his Super7 with power cross feed on a custom stand with draws on metal runners to me, how could I refuse. That lathe could not be fitted with the stops etc that fitted the ML7 based Trilever. So the Super7 get used for larger basic turning like the crankshaft for the Tiny and the small parts are made on the Trilever. It's a real luxury to have them both and I fondly think of him every time I use his old lathe.

Those Myfords are such nice machines, and they even have a pleasant look to them in my opinion.

Is that engine's hopper a repurposed party 7 cannister? If it is, that is one inspired idea- apart from the chore of emptying it.... NOT!!

It sure is, I had great fun emptying it in fact I have a spare ;-)

Nice workshop. I like to see one tidy enough so you can see what is going on, but with lots going on! Mine is much smaller with too much going on! (Crowded and scruffy, but I know where most "stuff" is buried!!)

I'm afraid my workshop is too small now, yes lots going on with IC engines, unfortunately have to work on my 5" Shay in the garage now, as there's no room for it it on its trolley, there's no way I could lift it on my own and no bench space.
