This is the year to do both shows- they are just one week apart. I will be driving to Cabin Fever, then up to the Grizzly store, the Debence Museum of Mechanical Music in Franklin PA, then into Detroit and maybe another day at the Henry Ford before NAMES. I can't wait, hope all this snow is melted by then.

I'd love to do both model shows. Problem is I've been persuaded to go to Coolspring in June with Morrison & Marvin + a few others. I don't want to make 2 trans-Pond trips in one year, so it will have to be next year - assuming the difference between the two shows are similar.

I like the sound of your itinerary, though.

I'm planning to do both shows as well. Spent a day at the Henry Ford last year and didn't see anywhere close to all of it.

I'll be driving the fam back from Florida during Cabin Fever but I'd love to make it next year. I'll be at NAMES and may go on Friday. Not much to set up but I think it might be nice to meet the other exhibitors without so many spectators around. Getting excited! :)

I'm with Ron... I'd like to do both shows.

However, having family in Michigan and Ohio, I've been to Detroit and the Ford museum many times, so if I can only do one show its going to be cabin fever.

Gonna do cabin fever this year. Found somebody to go with since my wife said "NO!". Hope its worth the 51/2 hour trip.
Do they raise the motel rates for that weekend ?

For me its about a 10 hour ride, and worth every mile. There are a bunch of motels around there, I'm not sure NAMES is big enough for them to even notice. I always stay at a Red Roof inn in Taylor, and this year the rate was down to $52 per night for the deluxe room. Ive made my reservation already. I like the Red Roof because it is right on Eureka Rd and that goes straight to Yack, and you pass by Denys and Bob Evans on the way

Folks, I plan to go to both shows this year. It will be about a 2 week trip for me, so I hope the snow is melted too. This will be my first time for CF. See y'all there.

Time for another bump and some of the latest info

Things are moving along nicely and so far it looks like we will have a full vendors house, as matter of fact we have a number of vendors in waiting for any cancellations.

And remember if you are looking for a certain vendor be sure to contact them and find out which shows they will be attending. Like last year some have cut the number of shows they will be attending.

And for the vendors and any clubs that need electrical drops at their tables please contact either Jim ([email protected])or
Mike ([email protected])

Remember support our hobby shows and dealers to keep the hobby strong.

Here are the finalized Seminars for the show weekend. Also contact Jim @ the vendor email if any are interested in the steam course leading up to the show weekend.

As always this is dependent on human and natural disasters
