Yep, an ornithologist friend of mine is infuriated by incorrect bird calls (for the location).
All Hollywood frogs go Gribbitt - that's the Californian tree frog used for everything.
In Memphis Belle, the jukebox in the movie was not yet built (Jukeboxes are another one of my hobbies).
My son is a stunt driver (the Super Snake in Death Race II) watching it with him I commented on one drift - clearly going out of control - "you didn't pull that off" - no he lost it but the director thought it looked cool and tried to strategically "cut" it in. Won't fool any savvy driver.
And cars just have to explode:-

At 1:20 in the explosion blew the doors and boot off - none of which were secured as they should have been - I was standing with the film crew and that door landed behind us. The director Raoul Rene was furious.
And Star Wars infamous Kessel Run in 12 parsecs - a unit of distance not time - they doubled down on the error in a later episode - I'm guessing they might be pushing the narrative to mean bending timespace to shorten the distance to 12 parsecs ??? So it might be cool science fiction.

Specific knowledge does tend to spoil the illusions, actions and dialogue somewhat.

Hoping this falls into the WHATEVER category per forum description :)
I do not have a degree in mechanical engineering but I have always had a fair amount of mechanical aptitude. Understanding how mechanical things work has always been easy for me (unlike electronics where there are no visible moving parts, only magic smoke)

Wifey complains I have the annoying habit of pointing out inconsistencies in movies and tv shows.
Example:
Car chase scene-guy shifts from top gear (5th) down to 4th and the revs drop and car goes faster
Car thief hot wires a new car by pulling 2 wires from under the dash, sparking them together a few times then roars off........having not disabled the steering wheel lock
Bad guy works the slide on his semi-auto pistol then to show he is serious he works it again........in real life that would have ejected the unspent round.

Just a few silly examples. Wifey says "youre not supposed to notice those things" LOL
Does anyone else suffer from movie mechanics spoiler syndrome?
Fun to look for those things. I usually don't see them until the 2-3-4 rerun. Remember the old Wagon Train series??
Once or twice, I saw high voltage power lines on the horizon!!!

You don't have to get very deep into movies for the wrong bird call, the sound EVERYONE uses for the bald eagle is actually the red tail hawk, the bald eagle call is a series of weak chirping whistles, of course that wouldn't fit the image.
