while pursuing the tool coral at home depot the other day I came upon a couple of key less chucks. They are Jacobs brand imported from china. OK no big deal. but they were closeout for 1/2 price so I got a couple of 3/8 and a 1/2 they are threaded intended for cordless drill divers but i think I can figure out how to adapt them to lathe and mill ::)
And I also found out that HD give a 10% military discount .

;D Nope, completely unusable. Better send them away. I suggest the following address:

Tin, LMS has some threaded MT arbors for these in 3/8-24.
If you have a Craftsman 109 the 1/2 chuck will fit right on the spindle nose if it's standard 1/2-20 thd. : )

Bogs has a current post here about a new keyless chuck as well.

I'm looking at this one myself.

It is from Discount-Tools.com.
They are a good group to deal with.
