Greetings from the Sunshine State--

I am as new as you can get in the endeavor. I have a Microlux 7X16 that I will need to take out of the box if I wish to build something. I have no tooling, no metals, and no experience. Recommendations on where to start?

Thanks

First of all you came to the right place this is a helfull bunch.
1) read the stick posts here .
2) use the search engine to find info
3) ask questions

Littlemachineshop, com has tooling packages for the mini lathe should you choose that route.

Excellent! Thank you. I have a few of these tools--I've been a woodworker for years. Time to get out Mr. Visa and put him to work!
