Just wanted to share some poorly taken pictures with you. Went to the Henry Ford Museum and got some photos. Included are the ford quad-cycle that I think was the first ford car. Also the first Blue-Bird bus. There is also some steam tractors and stationary engines. The most impressive was the engine taken from the Highland Park engine that had to be 100 feet long with a 20+ foot flywheel. Also found a plane with a 6 cylinder Anzani and a curtiss V8 on a stand.

Thanks for sharing those Steve. I was there maybe 12-13 years ago and still remember that steam engine and how huge it was. Its a great place to go if you are in the area for sure.

My grandfather worked in the powerhouse of the Highland Park plant, and every time I go to the museum and see that engine, I wonder if he tightened some of its bolts.

Thanks for posting Steve. The HF museum is a must see if you are in the Detroit area. When the N.A.M.E.S. show used to be in Detroit, I would go a day early so I could visit the museum.
