Anybody know where I could get some Hi453166 Hall sensors as indicated below ?.

Are you sure that is the right part number? Nothing to find under that number in Google besides your own post. (suspicious). The number should at least produce a data sheet.
timo, I took a photo & enlarged it the number on the sensor is "Hi453166"
Just tried an "AN503" from Jaycar, no response from magnet.
I found that the Chinnese Blue hit & Miss engine shows this sensor but unable to find a supplier.

Can you find out what it does? Or know what it is supposed to do? The table below I copied from a datasheet, link below.
There is a "human readable" (at least in my opinion) description in that datasheet that explains what bipolar, latching etc. means.
There are also Analog ones that put out a value based on the strength of the magnetic field.

Do you have a link to your AN503 by any chance? "cannot find that as well  Should it be this one that would be an analog sensor

Might be the wrong type for your setup. (see table) Try another Type.

Quite some choices. "the Chinese website lists 2196 differnt products"

Narrow search down, Type, package (the first picture is SO92 package) Supply voltage, sensitivity, availability.

Couple of hundred sites on Aliexpress alone would have to disagree with you..................................:rolleyes:

Disagree with what? I do not get it.
  • Allegro does not make the A3144 anymore since 2005, as their datasheet reveals on the front page. (I provided the document)
  • Naked sensors (with the number and function) can be bought from various chinese manufacturers for cents (I posted screenshot of an expample)
  • Assembled circuit boards with resistor and LED cost about 10x the price of the naked chip. (you posted some examples)
In what sense are those three statements contradicting each other?
Did I miss something?

Greetings Timo

People like you would argue about two flies crawling up a wall.
The parts are available, all you have to do is search.
There are many others as previously stated.
If you want the discreet device, suggest you follow the tip above.
