Grinding the inner wall of the cylinder？

The inner wall of the cylinder has been machined. But I don't know if the inner wall needs to be sanded, or use a piston ring to run in?

If the cylinder bore is round and of constant dia., all you need is to establish a 320 grit cross-hatched finish for the initial ring seating. You can do this with a brake cylinder hone from your local auto parts store. Be careful to not impart a taper. Flex-hone brushes can be purchased on Amazon.
