Along with information on the making of injectors I could do with some help on globe valves the making of and some neat handles for them and other fittings that need them.
Thanks, have a great Christmas.
Many years ago I found an article in one of the model engineering magazines, which I have used to make neat, little handles for globe valves
The idea is to find or make six pieces of tube. These are brazed around a bar the same size, as a tube the length needed is the thickness of the hand wheel plus cutting off allowance plus chucking allowance. They could just be sawn to length.
The centre can be screwed or a square filed to fit your valve stem.
Two other methods I have used are machine outer ring and hand wheel centre and drill six radial holes in outer ring and inner ring using wire to make the spokes, I leave one protruding to help with grip all is silver soldered together.
The last method is just a turned up blank with drill holes to represent spokes and put in a bit of wire sticking out of the rim to ease opening
Hope this helps Dave Bick
