Hi,
Just acquired a V10-P which is now being cleaned and brought back to life. The tail stock barret was very hard to move, and after a difficult disassembly it turned out that it was held back by the aluminum top tail stock clamp piece (just under the handle) being stuck. I eventually got both the lower and upper clamp out, and nothing obvious seems wrong. The lower clamp is 14.9mm and can move freely up and down in the hole. The top one is 15.0mm and requires extreme force to insert. I would assume that both need to be around 14.9 to allow them both to move freely when unlocked, but before I do anything non reversible I would like to hear if somebody can take a look at their (working) V10-P and explain to me how things are supposed to work.
Thanks,
