I came across the plans for the Elmers no7 square, the engine intruiged me enough so that I went ahead and bought materials for it.
Below are the photos of progress so far, the crank bearing been the most difficult for me to achieve, it took me three attempts to get a good fit in the engine frame.
I'm learning a lot from this build including that I need packing material to stop the brass been marked, or some slide on jaw covers to protect soft metal. I also need to double check everything before starting the lathe up, as unfortunately when I set up for the long steam line, I hadn't tightened one of the jaws fully, which lead to an askew hole been drilled.
