Does anybody sell model (I.C) v4 to v12 engines, exept Conley precision?

Hello

I want to buy an model i.c engine engine, it can be inline 4/v4 to v12 (must have more than 4 cylinders). The engine should be fully built or kit.
I have some knowledge from rc plane and car engines.

So far only engine for sale i have found is v8 stinger 609 from conleyprecision. I know that there are tons of plans for engines, but I dont own a cnc and skills to use it.

Hi George,
I wasn't even aware of conley precision until your post, but a nice looking engine. I wouldn't expect to find much mainly because there isn't a large market of people willing to shell out $6000 plus for a model. Actually that sounds rather cheap to me but they no doubt do most of it with CNC equipment. Most of us here would much rather create or build from plans...either ours or others, but if there is anything else out there, I suspect someone here will know of it. Good luck in your search.

I my friend has an cnc workshop, i could build one engine with him.
I would like to know how much time would take to build one v4,v8 or v12

Generally speaking, this is a site for makers of Model Engines. The typical member makes his own for his own enjoyment. Generally speaking, no one here is in it commercially.

As a rule of the forum, we request and introduction from our members. We're a tight bunch who like to know whom we have let into our "living room". So as soon as you can could, please post in the welcome section and tell us about yourself.

In general, there's that word again!....if your goal is just to obtain a model engine of more than 4 cylinders, I can recommend 2 people.

One is Conely, well regarded in the fraternity. The other is a German outfit

Hi Ian

I'm sure Dave meant by "a tight bunch" that we are a lot of people bonded together through our passion for home model engineering - not "up-tightness". I know for a fact that Dave welcomes new members to our group and is willing to bust his own chops to help newcomers.

The rules for the "Buy / Sell / Trade / eBay" section clearly states the guidelines for advertising in this section of the forum. If going strictly by the rules, George's request could have just been removed, but rather it was replied to, and George invited to become an active member of the forum.

While I was typing this, Dave furnished a link to the "Welcome" section - That's what we are about.

The admin and mod's on this board have gone to extreme efforts to cultivate the EXACT OPPOSITE of this, not with words but with deeds.

If you read back through Dave's posts I'm sure you'll appreciate the fact that he's one of our most welcoming members. The idea that he would construe the forum as some sort of exclusive enclave closed to newcomers is, well, just utter rubbish.

The absence of visual cues in forum conversation can easily lead to misinterpretation of what is said. Before hanging up on a presumed interpretation of several words, give a thought to who said it and his forum history. When you do that with Dave, you'll find no malice, just a generally helpful attitude.

The engines you are seeking are out there but in a very narrow and specific (read $ expensive $) niche. I've always fancied the Kavan flat twin engine series but could never bring myself to pull the trigger on buying one.

to some people it could come across that you have to take some form of test for you to be accepted into the forum. i.e seagar.

now I'm not saying your wrong or wright (not my place), just saying why seagar may have gone.
